Junto al Rio Beachfront Hotel Sayulita

Our first trip to Sayulita we had an amazing stay at Junto Al Rio which made it our first pick when we inevitably came back a year later. The rooms are very clean and cozy. You feel as if you’re staying in the exotic secluded jungle yet only a few steps from the beach and walking distance from the town plaza. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. Not only that but this hotel made the perfect spot for my boyfriend to get down on one knee and propose. Junto Al Rio will always be a special place to us! Highly recommend!

Liked · We were able to make breakfast in the room. There was a small heating plate, pan and pot plus a coffee machine that allowed one to make a nice breakfast. The beach bar would also have been a possibility or the many restaurants in walking distance. The whole installation is well maintained although it does show it age. The faucets are rusty and the palm leaves are failing, but the rooms were fine and actually quite comfortable given the climate. The immediate access to the beach was great. The water is always a bit cloudy because of the sandy ground and a suspicious 10" pipeline going into the sea. The bay is beautiful with the sandy beach, nice waves and green Vegetation everywhere. The hammocks and air beds close to the beach are nice. Disliked · The hotel is like a campground. There are common toilets, showers and sinks outside. The rooms are mostly open to the outside with no screens to keep mosquitoes out. We were bit in moderate amounts. The walkways in the area are all sandy ground, so you have to brush wash your feet before going back inside with the provided bucket and footmat. From around noon to 9PM music is played in the beach bar. It's bearable but if you're looking for silence this is not it. After 9 everything gets very quiet and you can hear the waves crashing.

Excellent customer service, nestled in the jungle yet right in town. The on-site restaurant has the best shrimp tacos and fresh daiquiris. The bungalows are rustic, but very clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Sayulita.

Amazing accommodations! Right on the beach with a restaurant a bar (with great prices). We stayed in an upstairs bungalow and it was so nice hearing the ocean waves. It was nice and clean and with the fan, there’s no need to AC. We’ll be back

The beds were cozy, and the air conditioning provided a welcome respite from the warm weather. The highlight was definitely the fantastic shower with excellent water pressure and piping hot water. Location: Nestled right on the beach, Junto al Rio Bungalows & Suites boasts an enviable location. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves and spending lazy afternoons lounging by the sea. Being just a 5-minute walk from downtown Sayulita, we had easy access to a plethora of restaurants, shops, nightlife, and yoga studios. Dining: Adjacent to the property is a fantastic restaurant that served 5-star dishes with impeccable service. We indulged in delicious meals while soaking in the stunning ocean views, making our dining experience truly memorable. Hospitality: The staff at Junto al Rio Bungalows & Suites treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Their warm and attentive service enhanced our stay and made us feel right at home. We were impressed by their genuine care and hospitality throughout our time at the property. Overall Impression: Our experience at Junto al Rio Bungalows & Suites was nothing short of perfection. Amazing place to stay in Sayulita, couldn’t recommend it enough! Very quiet and secluded, yet just a short walk from the city centre. I was a bit anxious about the lack of aircon but the rooms feel very airy and fresh (thanks to a HUGE ceiling fan and gorgeous sea breeze). Beautiful beds, nice shower, mini bar, lots of complimentary drinking water - everything you need to have a tranquil stay. The staff and the other guests are so nice, I can’t explain it but this place has a vibe and everyone is simply HAPPY all the time! Please experience it for yourself, we can’t wait to be back

Stayed here 9 nights in November. Checked out all the other hotels while we were here, and we clearly made the right choice. Stayed in Bungalow 1 - thatched roof, air conditioning small kitchen, dining table on the porch and small earring area inside. Two twin beds. Great hot water. Drinking water provided (the big jug kind). So, after reception you walk down a lush jungle path to your accommodation- it’s a nice relaxing decompression from the town. It’s quiet, well manicured jungle - staff out every day gardening. Really liked the bar - restaurant. Friendly staff, great drinks, food is good. Best part is that just to the left of the restaurant are lounge chairs in shade for hotel guests, and just in front of the restaurant even closer to the beach are lounge chairs with umbrellas and tables - never full and very comfortable with the hotel provided beach towels. Sayulita isn’t a big place. From the hotel it’s a 10 minute walk to the central plaza, passing many restaurants along the way. It it all a bit rustic? Yes. And awesome.

Absolutely the most amazing place. This was our second time staying here and will continue to go back. We were there when things got hectic with the Mexican government and cartel and we felt so safe the entire time. I was absolutely impressed with how they handled everything. They were so kind and accommodating. We love the restaurant/bar. The location could not be better. Not a single bad word to say about this amazing place. We love that it is right near the good food, the beach and anything you need.
